Meet Rebecca Forshaw

She tells us: “I love doing bridal hair because I love to create with my hands; seeing a creation come together gives me joy. I am a bit of a perfectionist which can leave me hanging on to your hair moments before you walk down the aisle. I promise I will let go before you say ‘I do’.’

Wedding Hair Trends for 2019?

Rebecca tells us: “For 2019 I predict hair up will out shadow the half up-half down creation we have all been obsessing over.” Make way for the modern up-do!wedding hair up-dowedding hair relaxed up-do

Wedding Hair Inspiration

Like the best of us, Rebecca uses Pinterest for ideas and inspiration. Check out our own offerings for Beautiful Bridal Hair and Amazing and Sparkly Accessories! She loves Russian hairdressers who often create some “crazy but very talented creations.” Rebecca also takes into account make up and different eye shapes to create what best suits each individual.bridal hair and makeup artist in Cheshire

Advice for Coloured Hair

Rebecca tells us that adding colour prior to the wedding will help to avoid dull looking hair. However, “don’t get your hair coloured the day before as it will be far too soft to work with. I would recommend a week before and it should ideally be washed a couple of times after the colour before the big day.”

How long will the style last?

Rebecca will always prep the hair to create a sturdy long lasting up-do. She is often told that her ‘do’s’ lasted all day and night and even into the next day! Also, contrary to what one might think, up-dos can be quicker to do than half up, half down styles. So, if time is of the essence on the morning of the wedding, an up do might be the perfect solution for bridesmaids.

Nothing sets off a hairdo better than a smart or edgy accessory. We have handpicked some inspo here. Rebecca recommends The Wedding Fairy and Friends for affordable, local and well priced hair accessories. She tells us that she will help with choosing the right hair accessory and The Wedding Fairy and Friends will even visit you at home for a little home shopping experience. Sounds right up our street!

Love Rebecca 💋
