We are delighted to tell the wedding fairytale story of Kerry and Naomi. After meeting online they later got engaged on a sunset beach in Portugal. They decided to tie the knot on the picturesque Wirral Peninsula, with a Leasowe Castle wedding. We can understand why!

The Dresses!

With stately surroundings, the couple both went for traditional – and stunning – wedding dresses. Kerry went for a dress called ‘Samantha’ by Richard Sherman that she found at Bride Childwall in Liverpool. Naomi’s dress was called ‘Aryania.’ She bought it at Because I Love You in Bolton.

The wedding party!

With two brides, there were no doubt a few bridesmaids to choose between! Kerry and Naomi were blessed with a sister, sister-in-law, niece and best friends to make a wonderful wedding party. They kitted out the bridesmaids in dusky pink, which complemented the tones in the bridal bouquets. Kerry and Naomi found the bridesmaid dresses at Little Mistress. They had their brothers as groomsmen and sourced their suits from Slaters.

A Leasowe Castle Wedding

This stunning and luxurious venue not only offers impressive sea views but also a variety of spaces to choose from for different elements of the day. Kerry and Naomi particularly loved the fact they could use ‘The Keep’ for their ceremony. They tell us that they instantaneously fell for this light-filled room which also allowed for fantastic acoustics for their string quartet.

Flowers and Decor

The couple chose to use the floral skills of Liz Crampton. In thier words, “We didn’t really have a clue about the flowers so thank God for Liz!” They also enlisted the vision and skills of Decor Events, who together with Liz, helped make the venue look even more romantic.

Hair and Make up

Both brides opted for a natural and elegant look. To achieve this they used Sarah Harris at Beauty Illusion.

The Food!

Leasowe Castle did the wedding catering. The couple also used the Liverpool Cheese Company for their cheese cake and Upper Tier Cakes and Chocolates for their ‘naked’ wedding cake. Yum!

Kerry and Naomi provided the grown-ups with shots in jam jars and a poem that read: “We’ve tied the knot not, have a shot!” They gave the kids jars of sweets that read, “love is sweet.”

What were your wedding highlights?

They tell us that it was walking into The Keep for the ceremony and also the first dance. Magical memories indeed!

What’s your wisdom for future wedding planners?

Kerry and Naomi have a number of pieces of sage advice:

  • Allow plenty of time to get ready;
  • Delegate responsibilities e.g. put someone in charge of flowers, cake, etc;
  • Give an emergency contact number to all suppliers in case anyone is running late/cancelling;
  • More importantly, take time on the day to take it all in and absorb as much as you can!

Cheers to that!

A special thank you to the happy couple for allowing us to share their fairytale Leasowe Castle wedding! carpe diem photography
