Today we bring you some incredible boho wedding inspiration, thanks to the vision and creativity of Jazmin at Flamingo Boulevard Bridal Salon and Hannah Carson Make-Up Artist. So sit back, grab a brew and soak it all in.
Boho Wedding Inspiration
Jazmin and Hannah‘s vision for the shoot was to create some serious boho wedding inspiration for the free-spirited bride seeking a little more edge and glam. Whilst both being lovers of the flower crown and barefoot vibe, they wanted to to showcase the ‘boho bride’ look from an alternative angle.
The venue of choice for this shoot was The Giraffe Shed. This is a BRAND SPANKING NEW family-owned wedding venue that can be found on a farm in Tregynon, Central Wales. It can be described as a heptagonal palace of joy, confetti and dancing. Sounds right up our street. It offers a unique space that not only oozes character but also allows couples the opportunity to personalise and make their own.
To point out the obvious, this venue is outside the North West, and serves as an illustration of how it makes perfect sense for couples to take our wonderful North West wedding suppliers to their weddings further afield.
This versatile and fashionable space is set amongst the most spectacular Welsh countryside. This allows for endless picture-perfect photo opportunities that couples can treasure forever.
Models Alice and Samantha donned dresses available exclusively at Flamingo Boulevard Bridal Salon. These beautifully boho Island Tribe gowns are every hippie’s dream. With whimsical lines and soft textures, these gorgeous girls oozed every bit of gypsy essence.
Hair and Make-Up
Hannah Carson MUA was certain she wanted the bridal make-up to look fresh, and for models Alice and Samantha to glow. Well didn’t she deliver! Hannah was keen to demonstrate that brides can step away from a traditional look yet still look elegant and glamourous. To achieve their flawless summer boho glow, Hannah used natural tones with pops of gold.
The perfectly un-perfect bridal hair was created by popular How to I Do supplier Charlotte Medford Bridal Hair. Charlotte really took these luscious locks to the next level. From loose messy waves to braids adorned with pearls she brought out glam and romance whilst maintaining those ‘free-spirit’ vibes.
Complementing both the boho bridal hair and the golden hues of the models’ make-up were the stylish hair accessories courtesy of Six Penny Bride. Owner Jacky designs and creates bespoke and contemporary headpieces for the unconventional bride. Her hand-made creations are often donned with vintage jewellery and other interesting finds. As a result, each piece is unique.
Ashley from The Flower Hall, another of How to I Do‘s featured businesses, created some serious floral drama. Her bouquets were bursting with greenery including a succulent or two and some clean white or sultry red roses.
The pièce de résistance however was the hanging floral and foliage masterpiece that took pride of place in the entrance to The Giraffe Shed. This floral work of art combined with the blowing of the draping ribbon in the summer breeze gave the team goosebumps. At How to I Do, we LOVE a wedding ceiling statement – the ‘wow’ factor they generate really creates a talking point for guests.
This team on this shoot must have very sweet teeth, as the talented Sam’s Sweet Treats brought not one, but THREE, delectable cakes.
The first was cake was made up of three beautiful tiers of blush pink and peach marble effect. The finishing touches included edible gold flecks and a giraffe cake topper. How fitting!
The second cake was a sun-kissed three tier cake. This time however, the whole cake was covered in a soft cream water colour. The bottom and middle tiers were then decorated using delicate chocolate brush strokes in soft creams and blush. The ‘icing on the cake’ (excuse the pun!) is the show-stopping top tier. This features a peach geode framed by edible gold leaf. To us, this cake screams boho (and, “Eat me NOW!”)
The third and final cake was a dark and indulgent creation: a tall single tier covered in a rich chocolate buttercream. Topped with meringue kisses, figs, cherries, blueberries and blackberries and finished in edible gold leaf, this surely counts as one of our five a day?!
Stylish Wedding Stationery
For this boho-inspo wedding shoot, Knock Knock Penny Studio created some spectacular wedding stationery. Owner Hannah totally nailed the brief and blew us all away with her paper creations.
Hannah’s perfectly coordinated designs incorporated the golden hues found throughout various elements of the shoot. The addition of some greenery complemented the dark burnt wood panelling of The Giraffe Shed and the surrounding rolling countryside.
It’s a well-known wedding industry fact that the Golden Hour is a popular time of day to capture some wedding photography magic. Its also a great time in the wedding day to step up the glam! As the sun began to set, it was time for Alice and Samantha, and The Giraffe Shed, to shine.
These lacy boho babes became gold and blush goddesses in their evening attire. Sam wore a romantic gold number from & For Love with an added tulle skirt from Match Made Bridal. We adore the volume and movement that the added skirt creates, especially in that dreamy light and those fields of gold.
Hannah Carson Make-Up Artist worked her magic once again. For the latter part of the day, she introduced a rusty berry tone on the eye and a sultry plum lip. Charlotte Medford Bridal Hair created volume for blonde bombshell Sam complemented perfectly with an antique gold crown from Six Penny Bride. Alice’s hair went from boho waves to boho braids as Charlotte produced a work of art using fresh greenery and rustic gold.
Capturing the Magic!
Capturing every little detail of this beautifully boho shoot was the creative genius – Lisa Webb. From climbing on scaffolding to rolling in thistles, Lisa knew just what to do to get the perfect photograph. Lisa is certainly one talented lady.
From one Wonder Woman to another is owner of The Giraffe Shed AND Rocksalt Photography – Hannah. It appears there is no end to her talents. For a little summary of today’s shoot and oodles of boho wedding inspiration, take a look at Rocksalt Photography‘s video. You’ll want to watch it over and over again! We have!!!!
